Follow Your Dream

Entrepreneur Definition

As defined by OxfordA person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.

Most people, when reading the word “risks” get afraid and want to stay in their comfort zone.

Do you think great opportunities come without risks?

Of course, not, nothing comes without a risk.

If you are in a job, you risk losing it or you risk not getting the raise you wished for. I am not being a pessimist, I am just being realistic.

Here is another meaning for an entrepreneur from dictionary.com: “A person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk.

As you see, the world risk appears again.

Even if you are afraid, keep reading, I will show you why being an entrepreneur is worth it and why staying in a traditional job is NOT the best idea.

Entrepreneur vs Employee

Employees are afraid of stepping out of the “secured” life, the “secured” job and mainly anything they have labeled as “secured”.

Oh, wait a minute… Did I say “secured”? Did I also say it 3 times?

Well… sorry about that.

In my opinion, a job isn’t secured, because, at any time, the boss can fire the employees. At any time, especially in this digital world, a robot can take the employee’s place.

Artificial intelligence is growing so fast. Scientists are predicting that sooner or later most jobs will be replaced by a machine or a robot…

If you don’t believe me, check out this youtube video about Google AI, where the software interacts with real persons to get things done.

I work now as a Support Engineer and the AI is really scaring me because sooner or later when Google Software comes to the company I am working in, I risk losing my job forever.

Why? Well because a robot can work 24/7 for the company and costs way less than a human. We need to rest, they don’t. They just need to be repaired from time to time.

Here you go, a real example of how to lose a “secured” job.

This future is not so far. Let’s be aware of it and act very fast to protect ourselves.

Who Can be an Entrepreneur?

For me, anyone who is willing to think out of the box, take some risks, look for solutions to our problems and most importantly take actions to solve these problems is a successful entrepreneur.

An entrepreneur is someone very ambitious, someone, who didn’t want to be like the rest. Someone who wants to make a positive impact in this world by solving the most challenging problems we face on daily basis.

Take for example Uber eats. The idea of delivering food to our home is not that revolutionary, but creating a link between restaurant, delivery men and clients through an app that runs all day long on autopilot is something revolutionary.

This mobile application has created work opportunities for entrepreneurs, it’s environment-friendly because it encourages the use of bikes and also improves the restaurants business. It’s a win-win for everyone.

This is what I call an idea worth sharing and modeling.

So what can you think about today to make a positive impact in this world?

Functions of an Entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs are fully responsible for their words and ALL their actions.

When they promise to deliver a product/service before a certain deadline, they try to keep their promise and stay honest with their clients.

They keep an eye on their businesses and their different responsibilities.

Mainly, entrepreneurs should be aware of the whole business they are running from A to Z.

Delegation is possible as well. When entrepreneurs start, they mainly need cash flow into their business so they don’t delegate tasks and they prefer doing almost everything by themselves to avoid paying a lot of money.

Even though money is very important for the survival of their businesses, their time is very precious as well. Ideally, they should work on what they master and delegate what they don’t master.

Role of Entrepreneur

So to resume a little bit, an entrepreneur has an amazing role in society. Entrepreneurs are the ones who think differently. They don’t want to be trapped in the 9 to 5 rat race like the rest of employees.

An entrepreneur is the one that is continuously thinking about new ideas, searching for real opportunities and most importantly taking massive actions.

An entrepreneur is independent. Entrepreneurs don’t need someone to give them instructions in order to take actions. They know what they want, how they can achieve it and they work hard to make their dreams a reality.

Entrepreneurs might face tough times, challenges and risks but every time they overcome these challenges, they will grow and they will gain some real momentum on their way.

Just like a hero on his journey.

Women Entrepreneurs

Anyone can be an entrepreneur. The one thing in common between all entrepreneurs is commitment. Here are a few examples of successful women entrepreneurs:

  • Weili Dai, Cofounder Marvell Technologies,
  • J.K. Rowling, Founder of the Harry Potter empire,
  • Cher Wang, Cofounder HTC.

An entrepreneur has a strong mindset, and mindset is something we acquire.

We can teach ourselves to think like entrepreneurs.

Start today, look around you, find a problem, think about a solution and take action regarding your thoughts. It’s really the first step, when you accomplish it you will feel that you have already become a successful problem solver and entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur Quotes

Here are a few entrepreneurs quotes that I like and I want to share with you:

  • “I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed.”  – Michael Jordan, NBA Legendary Basketball MVP
  • “Chase the vision, not the money; the money will end up following you.”  – Tony Hsieh, Zappos CEO
  • “The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It’s as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer.”  –Nolan Bushnell, Entrepreneur

Freedom Entrepreneur

What is the Freedom Entrepreneur? you might ask me.

You are right, not too many people know what a Freedom entrepreneur is.

Let me explain it to you. Freedom entrepreneurs don’t work for the money but the money works for them.

They are financially independent, they don’t rely on a company or a government to earn a salary. They have built a machine that works for them even when they are asleep.

No, I am not joking, I am being serious. Is it too good to be true?

Well, check out Robert Kiyosaki teachings especially his book “Rich dad Poor dad“.

Do you think that people like Robert are just lucky? If so, please think again.

Robert mainly invested in what he loves and didn’t do what he loves.

He didn’t want to do what he loves because he knew that he will end up in a boring job with high taxes to pay.

A freedom entrepreneur is someone who invested in his time and effort. He learned the necessary skills and believed that he can do it no matter what.

You are a freedom entrepreneur when you can work less and earn more. When you have more time to spend with your family and friends. When you can do what you love every day. When you can travel around the world while working on your business.

At first, I thought this is too good to be true. But after I discovered affiliate marketing and the real benefits behind it, I knew that it’s the way to gain more time, financial and geographical FREEDOM to join back my family and parents after 10 years of traveling and working in the 9 to 5 regular jobs abroad…

Do you want to learn more about the opportunity that is changing my life and that is helping me to become a freedom entrepreneur?
